AmCham Mongolia presented the "Gobi" JSC with the "CSR SUSTAINABILITY" award

The American Chamber of Commerce in Mongolia ("AmCham Mongolia") organized “The CSR Awards 2023” to commemorate the outstanding efforts of member organizations' yearly corporate social responsibility (and ESG) actions to ensure businesses also foster community growth and care. With 19 nominations from 15 members, the projects were awarded in three categories, namely:

•      CSR Innovation

•      CSR Leadership

•      CSR Sustainability

In the CSR SUSTAINABILITY category, our company received an award for its "Sustainable Cashmere Trilateral Project." from ten nominated member organizations.

Our top priority is to make sustainable production at every step of our operations, and we aim to make Mongolian cashmere accessible to everyone by introducing it to the world through its comfort and luxury. Therefore, our company has formulated and endorsed Sustainable Development commitments and policies, as well as goals and objectives until 2025, and is carrying out numerous projects, one of which is the "Sustainable Cashmere Trilateral Project." 

Gobi JSC has initiated and has been financing this project since 2020 and is working to implement it until 2025, which includes collaboration with herders and professors from the Mongolian University of Life Sciences. The initiative aims to foster research and development through collaboration among scientists, producers, and herders while concurrently improving livestock genetics, enhancing animal health and care, ultimately improving cashmere quality, and augmenting herders' income.
