"Gobi" JSC will distribute traceable cashmere products to the European Union market

In 2020, "Gobi" JSC initiated the "Sustainable Cashmere Trilateral Project" in collaboration with the Mongolian University of Life Sciences and local herders. The project's top priority is to make high-quality products from superior raw materials. Annually in November, our company organizes the tradition of presenting the annual project updates, deliberating on future plans, and providing a comprehensive report on the outcomes. Presently, we have assembled the concluding meeting for the third phase of the project, marking a successful transition to the subsequent stage.

During the closing ceremony of the 2023 project, heads from "Gobi" JSC, representatives from the Ministry of Food, Agriculture, and Light Industry, the Mongolian University of Life Sciences, around 60 participating herders from Bayankhongor and Khuvsgul provinces, as well as administration representatives, veterinarians from Soums, and approximately 80 guests were in attendance.

"Gobi" JSC has started the purchase of cashmere raw materials from participating herders at a premium price. The company is actively engaged in the production of cashmere products, with plans to introduce them to the European Union market in the first quarter of the upcoming year.
